Sometimes I neglect the Internet and try to pay it as little attention as possible. I ignore my phone. My computer. My facebook. My email. I'm pretty good at it. Or bad at it. Whichever way you choose to look at it. But don't get me wrong... I love the Internet. It's just that I'm notorious for failing to maintain any sort of regular presence here.
For this project, I'm really going to try.
I'm here because I'm building a tiny house. A few years ago, my (at the time) boyfriend and I refurbished an old camper shell and took it on a road trip to California. It was an awesome experience and I made a little video. It's really nothing special but over the years it got way more views than I ever thought it would, and a lot of positive comments to boot. My Dad and the nice YouTube people say I should make more videos, so I'm gonna document the construction of my tiny house. And even if nobody reads this blog or watches the videos at least I'll have a record of the process.
I'm really excited to (finally) be working on this project. I've been procrastinating for way too long (mostly out of fear). But construction has officially begun, so I suppose I should start taking pictures.
The plan is to build a tiny house on an 8'x20' trailer, and then go live in it somewhere pretty and go to paramedic school and become a responsible contributing member of society. Or something like that.
This project (and my life) wouldn't be possible without the endless support of my awesome Dad. He's going to be out there in the driveway building this thing with me. This tiny little house will be made of his blood, sweat, and tears... not to mention dollars.
So now you know and here we go...
